Jr. Concept Artist

We are looking for a Jr. Concept Artist to join our game art team and help bring exciting game worlds, characters, environments, props, and gameplay ideas to life.
The ideal candidate has a strong interest in games, a good understanding of shape language and color, and the ability to turn rough ideas into clear, appealing visual concepts. You will work closely with senior artists, art directors, and 3D artists to develop designs that are both visually engaging and practical for production.

Key Responsibilities
Create 2D concept art for characters, creatures, props, weapons, environments, and game assets.
Develop design explorations, thumbnails, silhouettes, and variations based on creative briefs.
Translate gameplay ideas and written descriptions into clear visual concepts.
Establish shape language, proportions, color palettes, and visual appeal appropriate for the game's art style.
Create concepts that are clear, readable, and suitable for 3D modeling and game production.
Collaborate with senior concept artists, art directors, 3D artists, and other team members to refine designs.
Prepare orthographic views, callouts, material indications, and simple breakdowns when required.
Iterate on feedback and improve designs while maintaining the intended art direction.
Research visual references and explore new ideas while maintaining consistency with the studio's style.
Support the art team in creating visual development, mood boards, and presentation-ready concept sheets.
Maintain organized files and follow the studio's production workflow and naming conventions.
Requirements
Strong foundation in drawing, composition, perspective, anatomy, and color theory.
Good understanding of shape language, silhouette design, and visual storytelling.
Ability to create appealing stylized or semi-stylized game art.
Basic understanding of 3D forms, lighting, materials, and how designs translate into 3D assets.
Ability to interpret a brief and produce multiple design variations.
Familiarity with digital painting and concept art workflows.
Comfortable receiving feedback and working through multiple iterations.
Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn.
A genuine passion for games and game art.
Preferred Qualifications
A portfolio demonstrating game-related concept art, including characters, props, environments, or creatures.
Experience creating stylized, low-poly, cartoon, or mobile game art.
Understanding of game production constraints, readability, and asset optimization.
Experience collaborating with 3D artists or working from a concept-to-3D pipeline.
Ability to work in a consistent art style and adapt to different design requirements.
