Drupal 11 Developer
Senior Drupal Developer · Indira IVF, Mumbai
Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Senior Drupal Developer to own the business continuity, performance, and ongoing enhancement of Indira IVF's website, built on Drupal 11. This is a hands-on role responsible for the health of the Drupal 11 platform and its surrounding ecosystem — from day-to-day troubleshooting and fixes to planned enhancements, performance optimization, and the introduction of AI-driven capabilities within the website domain. The role requires strong command of the underlying PHP framework so issues can be diagnosed and resolved independently, along with the judgment to keep the site secure, fast, and reliable as a production, enterprise-grade platform.
Requirements
7-8 years of experience in website development, with strong, hands-on expertise in Drupal 11 (Drupal 10 experience acceptable as a bridge, but Drupal 11 proficiency is mandatory).
Strong command of PHP and the underlying framework Drupal is built on, sufficient to independently troubleshoot, debug, and resolve platform issues.
Deep, practical understanding of the Drupal content management system — content architecture, configuration management, module ecosystem, and site-building best practices.
Proven ownership of business continuity for a live production website — uptime, incident response, root-cause troubleshooting, and structured handling of both enhancements and fixes on a regular cadence.
Experience in custom Drupal module and theme development.
Solid understanding of MySQL database design and optimization.
Experience with REST APIs and third-party integrations.
Strong knowledge of HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, AJAX, and responsive design.
Experience with Git version control.
Knowledge of website security and authentication mechanisms.
Demonstrated experience managing website performance and Core Web Vitals, with the ability to diagnose and fix performance regressions proactively.
Working familiarity with AI capabilities in the website domain — AI/RAG-based solutions, intelligent search, and applying AI tools across the development lifecycle (coding, testing, debugging, code review, deployment).
Experience with AWS, Docker, CI/CD, and Kubernetes is preferred.
Strong communication and problem-solving skills; comfortable working directly with cross-functional teams on an enterprise digital platform.
Qualifications
Relevant academic background in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
Prior experience in healthcare or large multi-location organizations is an advantage but not mandatory.
