JOB DESCRIPTION – ASSISTANT MANAGER – FINANCE

Role Overview:
Key role in driving financial planning, analysis, and performance management, with a strong focus on sales and business finance. The role involves close collaboration with Sales and cross-functional teams to analyse revenue, margins, profitability, budgets, forecasts, and receivables, while providing meaningful financial insights to support business performance and strategic and operational decision-making.
Key Responsibilities:
Monitor and analyse sales revenue and business performance against budgets and targets.
Prepare and present periodic Sales MIS, financial reports, and management dashboards.
Analyse revenue, margins, profitability, and sales trends across products, customers, regions, and channels.
Track sales budgets and forecasts against actual performance and prepare variance analysis.
Review sales-related expenses, including discounts, schemes, rebates, and incentives.
Prepare customer-wise, product-wise, and channel-wise profitability analysis.
Monitor receivables, collections, outstanding balances, and credit exposure.
Coordinate with Sales and Business teams for collection follow-ups and resolution of financial and commercial issues.
Support the annual budgeting process, periodic forecasting, and monthly business performance reviews.
Ensure timely and accurate reporting of sales and financial data to management.
Identify key variances, financial risks, and improvement opportunities and highlight them to the management.
Provide financial analysis and insights to support commercial and operational decision-making.
Maintain and improve MIS reports and financial dashboards to support regular business reviews.
Coordinate with internal stakeholders to ensure accuracy and completeness of financial and sales-related data.
Experience:
2+ years of relevant experience in Finance / Business Finance / Sales Finance.
Good exposure to Sales Finance, Revenue Analysis, Profitability Analysis, MIS, Budgeting, and Receivables Management.
Experience in Manufacturing, FMCG, Consumer Products, or similar industries is preferred.
Strong understanding of financial reporting, variance analysis, budgeting, and business performance analysis.
Experience working closely with Sales and cross-functional business teams.
Strong analytical, numerical, and problem-solving skills.
Good working knowledge of MS Excel and financial reporting tools.
Ability to independently handle reporting and analysis activities with minimum supervision.
Qualification:
M.Com / MBA (Finance).
CA Inter / CMA Inter preferred.
