Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Concept Designer role based in Mumbai. The Concept Designer will develop original workplace design concepts aligned with client briefs, brand guidelines, and functional requirements. Day-to-day responsibilities include generating concept art, mood boards, and visual narratives; creating character or persona designs that reflect user profiles and workplace culture; and collaborating with architects, interior designers, and graphic designers to translate concepts into spatial and visual solutions. The role involves preparing storyboards and presentations for client reviews, refining concepts based on feedback, and ensuring consistency across design elements for commercial interiors. The Concept Designer will participate in design workshops, contribute to pitch decks, and support project teams in maintaining design quality and clarity from concept through execution.
Qualifications
Candidates should possess strong skills in Concept Development and Concept Art to create clear, compelling design directions for workplaces.
Candidates should possess skills in Character Designs and Graphic Design to visualize user personas and produce cohesive visual identities and layouts.
Candidates should possess skills in Storyboarding to map design narratives, user journeys, and client presentations in a structured visual format.
Proficiency in industry-standard design tools (such as Adobe Creative Suite, Figma, or similar) and basic familiarity with interior design or architectural workflows is beneficial.
A degree or diploma in Design, Visual Communication, Fine Arts, Animation, or a related field, along with a strong portfolio of concept work, is preferred.
Ability to collaborate in cross-functional teams, manage timelines, and communicate ideas clearly in visual and written formats is essential.
Experience in commercial interiors, workplace design, or environmental graphics for corporate spaces is an advantage.
