Position - Algorithm & Systems Engineer

Role Overview
We are looking for a strong problem solver and systems-oriented engineer with excellent fundamentals in Data Structures & Algorithms (DSA), algorithm development and analytical problem solving.
The ideal candidate should enjoy solving complex engineering problems, designing efficient algorithms and building reliable software systems. Strong hands-on experience with C++ or Python is preferred, but we are open to candidates from other programming backgrounds who demonstrate strong algorithmic and systems-thinking capabilities.
Experience working with time-series data, sensor data, signal processing, IoT, healthcare or medical devices will be highly valued.
This role is ideal for someone who wants to work on product engineering and real-world data/system problems, rather than purely application-level development.
Key Responsibilities:
· Design, develop and optimize algorithms for real-world engineering and product problems.
· Apply strong Data Structures & Algorithms concepts to develop efficient and scalable solutions.
· Analyze complex problems and convert them into well-defined computational solutions.
· Develop software components for processing, analyzing and interpreting time-series, sensor or device-generated data.
· Work with large or continuous data streams and develop efficient data-processing approaches.
· Optimize algorithms for performance, memory usage, latency and reliability.
· Design and implement software modules that interact with product, device or data-processing systems.
· Identify performance bottlenecks and improve computational efficiency.
· Handle edge cases, noisy data and real-world constraints while designing solutions.
· Collaborate with firmware, hardware, backend, AI/ML and product teams where required.
· Write clean, maintainable and well-tested code.
· Participate in technical discussions, architecture/design decisions and code reviews.
· Contribute to the development of product features from problem definition through implementation and optimization.
Required Skills
Strong understanding of Data Structures and Algorithms.
Strong analytical, logical and problem-solving ability.
Hands-on programming experience in C++, Python or another strong programming language.
Ability to design algorithms independently rather than only implementing predefined solutions.
Good understanding of algorithmic complexity, including time and space complexity.
Experience building software systems or technically complex components.
Ability to work with data and reason about patterns, performance and edge cases.
Good software engineering fundamentals including debugging, testing and version control.
Preferred Skills
Experience with time-series data or continuous data streams.
Experience with signal processing, data filtering, anomaly detection or pattern detection.
Experience working with sensor/device-generated data.
Experience with IoT or hardware-connected software systems.
Experience in healthcare, medical devices, digital health or similar product environments.
Strong C++ programming experience.
Experience with Python for data processing, algorithm implementation or system development.
Exposure to numerical computing, scientific computing or statistical methods.
Experience working in a product-based organization.
Education
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electronics, Electrical Engineering, Mathematics or a related technical discipline.
Strong candidates with relevant practical experience and exceptional programming/algorithmic skills may also be considered.
