Role Description The Tech Lead Java Backend – Payments is a full-time, on-site role based in Noida. This role is responsible for leading the design and development of Java-based backend services and APIs for payment systems, ensuring reliability, performance, and security. Daily responsibilities include collaborating with product managers and architects to refine technical requirements, guiding a team of developers, reviewing code, and implementing best practices for software development and cybersecurity. The Tech Lead will oversee integration with databases and external payment gateways, perform troubleshooting and optimization, and ensure compliance with network security standards. The role also involves mentoring team members, supporting deployment activities, and contributing to architectural decisions for scalable, high-availability payment platforms.

Qualifications
Strong foundation in Software Development and Programming, with deep experience in Java backend development and building scalable payment systems.
Hands-on experience working with Databases, including schema design, optimization, and secure data handling for transaction-heavy applications.
Proficiency in Cybersecurity and Network Security principles, ensuring secure payment processing, data protection, and adherence to industry standards.
Experience leading technical teams, conducting code reviews, and implementing software engineering best practices (testing, CI/CD, version control).
Familiarity with microservices architectures, RESTful APIs, messaging systems, and cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, or GCP) is highly beneficial.
Strong problem-solving skills, ability to make sound architectural decisions, and effective communication with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience in backend development and payments.
Must have experience with AI assisted development.
Good to have prior experience of leading a team 2-5 members.
