GenAI QA / AI Test Engineer

Role Description The GenAI QA / AI Test Engineer role at Halcer is a full-time, on-site position based in Indore. In this role, the engineer will design, review, and maintain test cases and test plans for generative AI solutions and related platforms. Day-to-day responsibilities include executing functional tests, validating AI model outputs against defined quality criteria, identifying defects, and collaborating with developers, data scientists, and product teams to resolve issues. The engineer will also contribute to test automation strategies for AI workflows, document test results and quality metrics, and support continuous improvement of testing processes and AI system reliability.
Qualifications
Strong foundation in Test Engineering and Testing, with experience in quality assurance for software or AI-driven systems.
Hands-on experience with Test Execution and Test Cases, including designing, organizing, and maintaining detailed test documentation.
Proficiency in Functional Testing, including validating system behavior, workflows, and user journeys against requirements.
Familiarity with AI/ML concepts, generative AI models, and evaluation methods for AI outputs (e.g., correctness, relevance, safety, bias).
Experience with test management tools and bug tracking systems; exposure to test automation frameworks is an advantage.
Analytical mindset with strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail in identifying edge cases and quality risks.
Ability to collaborate effectively in cross-functional teams and communicate findings clearly to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
