Role Description The Associate Business Development Manager is a full-time, on-site role based in Ahmedabad. This position is responsible for identifying and qualifying new business opportunities, nurturing existing customer relationships, and supporting revenue growth across key regulated industry segments. Daily activities include market research, lead generation, preparing proposals and presentations, coordinating product demonstrations, and collaborating with internal teams to ensure timely responses to customer inquiries. The role involves maintaining accurate sales pipelines and reports, monitoring competitors and industry trends, participating in customer visits and industry events, and providing feedback to marketing and product teams to refine offerings. The Associate Business Development Manager will work closely with senior sales leadership to execute business development strategies and achieve targeted sales objectives.
Qualifications
Business development and sales skills, including prospecting, lead qualification, opportunity management, and relationship-building with industrial and life-science customers.
Market research and analysis skills to understand customer needs, regulatory environments, competitive landscape, and emerging trends in polymers, life sciences, and manufacturing.
Communication and presentation skills for preparing proposals, sales collateral, and delivering clear, persuasive product demonstrations to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Negotiation and stakeholder management skills to support pricing discussions, contract coordination, and long-term account development.
Organizational and CRM skills for managing pipelines, forecasting, reporting, and coordinating with cross-functional teams (engineering, production, quality, supply chain).
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, Life Sciences, or a related field; MBA or equivalent business qualification is an advantage.
Experience in B2B industrial, polymer, pharma, biopharma, medical devices, or related regulated sectors is highly desirable.
Comfort working in an on-site manufacturing and corporate environment, with readiness for customer visits and occasional travel.
