Delivery Manager – Managed Services
Location: Gurugram

About the Role
We are looking for an experienced and strategically minded Delivery Manager to take end-to-end ownership of multiple projects and client engagements within a Managed Services environment.
The ideal candidate will have strong international market/client exposure, excellent stakeholder management capabilities, and a proven ability to manage multiple projects, delivery teams and governance cadences simultaneously.
The role requires a technology-savvy delivery leader who understands SDLC, can engage effectively with technical teams, translate client expectations into delivery plans, proactively manage risks and escalations, and ensure successful project outcomes from initiation through delivery, transition and closure.
Key Responsibilities
1. End-to-End Project & Delivery Ownership
Own end-to-end delivery of projects from initiation and planning through execution, delivery, transition, stabilization and closure.
Take complete accountability for scope, timelines, quality, cost, resources, risks, dependencies, SLAs/KPIs and overall project outcomes.
Establish project governance, delivery plans, milestones, success criteria and reporting mechanisms.
Lead projects through the complete Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
Coordinate across technology, product, QA, DevOps, business and support teams to ensure seamless delivery.
Ensure timely identification and resolution of project risks, issues and dependencies.
Drive projects to successful completion while maintaining client satisfaction and delivery commitments.
Manage multiple projects simultaneously and maintain visibility of overall portfolio/engagement health.
2. Delivery Governance & Multiple Cadences
Establish and manage multiple delivery cadences, including daily, weekly, monthly and quarterly governance reviews.
Conduct regular reviews across projects to assess project health, delivery performance, risks, dependencies, quality, timelines and resource requirements.
Drive effective STP (Service Transition & Process) practices across engagements.
Conduct periodic project health checks and ensure corrective actions are tracked to closure.
Drive continuous improvement in delivery processes, governance and operational efficiency.
3. Client & Stakeholder Management
Own and manage strategic client relationships and engagement across multiple projects.
Understand client expectations, business priorities and evolving requirements.
Act as the key delivery contact and trusted advisor for clients.
Conduct regular client governance, service review and project review meetings.
Manage critical client escalations and drive issues to timely resolution.
Prepare and present stakeholder reports, dashboards, project status, KPIs, risks, issues and action plans.
Provide clear executive-level updates on delivery progress, project health and business impact.
Proactively communicate risks and manage client expectations throughout the project lifecycle.
4. Managed Services Leadership
Lead delivery operations across Managed Services engagements.
Ensure effective service governance and adherence to agreed SLAs/KPIs.
Support transition, stabilization and continuous improvement of managed services engagements.
Identify opportunities to improve service quality, productivity and client experience.
Ensure appropriate capacity and capability planning to meet current and future requirements.
5. Technology & SDLC
Be technology savvy and capable of participating meaningfully in technical discussions.
Demonstrate strong understanding of SDLC, Agile/Scrum and/or Waterfall methodologies.
Work closely with architects, developers, QA, DevOps and technical leads to identify and address technical risks and dependencies.
Understand the business impact of technical issues and communicate them effectively to stakeholders.
Provide delivery leadership while working closely with technical teams.
6. RFP & Pre-Sales Support
Participate in RFP/RFI responses and client proposal discussions.
Provide inputs on delivery approach, project governance, resource planning, transition methodology, SLAs/KPIs and delivery timelines.
Participate in client presentations and solution discussions.
Support business development teams in defining scalable delivery models.
7. Team Management & Capability Scaling
Lead, mentor and manage project/delivery teams across multiple engagements.
Manage and scale team capabilities in line with business and client requirements.
Identify capability gaps and drive hiring, training and upskilling initiatives.
Build strong second-line leadership within delivery teams.
Ensure effective resource allocation, utilization and capacity planning.
Drive accountability, ownership and continuous improvement across teams.
8. International Client & Travel Exposure
Manage engagements with international clients and geographically distributed teams.
Demonstrate the ability to work effectively across different cultures, geographies and time zones.
Participate in international client governance and business reviews.
Travel to client locations, as required for project reviews, governance meetings, escalations and relationship management.
Required Experience & Skills
12–15 years of overall IT experience, with candidates up to 20 years considered for highly relevant experience.
Strong experience in end-to-end IT project/program/service delivery.
Proven experience in Managed Services.
Experience managing multiple projects and teams simultaneously.
Strong international client/market exposure.
Demonstrated ownership of projects from initiation to successful closure.
Strong understanding of SDLC and software delivery methodologies.
Technology-savvy with the ability to understand technical discussions.
Excellent stakeholder and client management skills.
Strong escalation handling and problem-solving capabilities.
Experience in project health reviews, governance and stakeholder reporting.
Experience participating in RFP/RFI and pre-sales activities.
Strong team leadership and capability-building experience.
Excellent communication, presentation and negotiation skills.
Willingness to travel to client locations as required.
