Role Overview
KRAM TV is looking for a detail-oriented, creative visual research & editing intern to support our lead video editor. In this role, you will bridge the gap between text and video by reading incoming scripts, understanding the narrative tone, and hunting down the perfect stock footage, archival clips, B-roll, and graphics to bring our stories to life.
Key Responsibilities
Analyze video scripts to identify visual needs, scene transitions, and story beats.
Source high-quality, relevant stock footage, archival material, and visual assets across public and paid databases.
Organize, tag, and archive visual media within our digital asset management system.
Create basic rough cuts, assembly cuts, and visual storyboards in Adobe Premiere Pro or DaVinci Resolve.
Collaborate directly with the lead video editor to refine visual pacing and style.
Assist with basic motion graphics, lower thirds, and captioning as needed.
Requirements
Basic proficiency in non-linear editing software (Adobe Premiere Pro)
Strong visual literacy—ability to interpret script cues and translate abstract ideas into compelling imagery.
Resourcefulness in finding niche visual content, footage, and graphics.
Sharp attention to copyright, licensing, and media resolution standards.
Strong organizational skills and familiarity with file management workflows.
Bonus Points
Background in film, journalism, media production, or visual communications.
Basic knowledge of Adobe After Effects or Photoshop.
