We are looking for an enthusiastic and industry-oriented Assistant Professor – Computer Applications who can go beyond conventional classroom teaching and create meaningful learning experiences for students.
Role: Assistant Professor – Computer Applications
Location: Kolkata
Experience: 3+ years in teaching
Qualification: Master’s in Computer Applications / Computer Science / Computer Technology or related discipline
Key Responsibilities
Deliver engaging and outcome-oriented classroom sessions in Computer Applications, Programming, Database Management, Web Technologies, Software Development and related areas.
Design and facilitate experiential learning activities including live projects, case studies, workshops, simulations, coding activities, industry assignments and problem-solving exercises.
Mentor students in academic projects, internships, capstone projects and industry-oriented assignments.
Bring practical industry applications and emerging technology trends into classroom discussions.
Encourage students to develop analytical thinking, innovation, coding capability and real-world problem-solving skills.
Contribute to curriculum development, academic planning, assessments and continuous improvement of teaching methodologies.
Organise and participate in industry interactions, guest lectures, hackathons, workshops, seminars and technology-focused events.
Support students in building portfolios and gaining practical exposure beyond the traditional classroom environment.
Participate in departmental initiatives, academic administration and institutional activities as required.
Education
Master’s degree in Computer Applications (MCA), Computer Science, Computer Technology or a closely related discipline is mandatory.
UGC-NET / Ph.D. is desirable.
Candidates with relevant additional certifications or industry exposure will be preferred.
