Role Overview
We are looking for an experienced Senior Power Apps Developer with strong hands-on expertise in Microsoft Power Apps Canvas Apps to develop an interactive, analytics-driven business application.
The candidate will be responsible for translating functional and UX designs into scalable Power Apps components, implementing interactive analytical workflows, integrating data collections and APIs, and delivering a responsive user experience for an Executive Analytics / Revenue Performance Console.
The role requires close collaboration with UI/UX, BI, Data Engineering, AI and Architecture teams.
Key Responsibilities
1. Power Apps Canvas Development
Initialize and develop the Power Apps Canvas App shell, including:
Application navigation
Theme variables
Global variables
Reusable components
Global data-loader components
Establish reusable and maintainable Power Apps development patterns.
Implement responsive layouts and consistent application behavior across screens.
2. Dynamic Alerts & AI Insights
Implement dynamic visual alert components with severity indicators:
Critical
Moderate
On-Track
Build expandable alert experiences based on business and analytical conditions.
Develop AI Narrative display cards incorporating:
AI-generated narrative
Citation/reference chips
Driver breakdown metrics
Consume and process JSON/API-based data to dynamically populate UI components.
3. Interactive Analytics & Drill-Through
Develop interactive drill-through screens across four analytical pathways:
Geo
Channel
KPI
Sales Mix
Implement navigation and contextual parameter passing between analytical views.
Configure cross-filtering and application state management.
Enable scenarios such as selecting a Channel and dynamically filtering the corresponding Regional/Geo view.
Maintain context and user selections across analytical journeys.
4. Copilot / Mock Q&A Experience
Implement a contextual mock Q&A response engine within Power Apps.
Support approximately 5–6 predefined analytical prompts and responses.
Develop conversational interaction patterns and dynamic response rendering.
Configure suggestion prompts and contextual responses based on the selected analytical context.
5. Commentary & Collaboration Features
Implement searchable @Mention functionality using the colUsers collection.
Develop Submit Commentary functionality to:
Capture user input
Append records to colComments
Refresh the UI immediately
Implement contextual commentary and action-item workflows.
6. Optimistic UI & User Experience
Implement responsive UI states to provide immediate feedback to users.
Develop:
Loading spinners
Success toast notifications
Error/validation messages
Refreshed commentary/thread feeds
Implement optimistic UI patterns to minimize perceived application latency.
Ensure smooth transitions and consistent user interactions across screens.
Required Technical Skills
Must Have
5–8 years of Power Platform / Power Apps development experience
Strong hands-on experience with Power Apps Canvas Apps
Advanced Power Fx development
Experience with:
Collections
Variables
Context variables
Component libraries
Forms and galleries
Conditional visibility
Navigation and screen state management
Strong experience building reusable Power Apps components
Experience integrating REST APIs / JSON data
Strong understanding of application state and cross-screen data handling
Experience implementing dynamic filtering and drill-through experiences
Good understanding of Power Platform development best practices
Good to Have
Experience integrating Power BI with Power Apps
Experience with Power Automate / Logic Apps
Experience working with AI/LLM or Copilot-based applications
Knowledge of OpenAPI / REST API contracts
Experience with JSON parsing and dynamic data structures
