Product Engineer II

Cadence is seeking a Product Engineer to work closely with the FastSPICE R&D team on new technology development, product validation, and customer issue analysis. In this role, you will support the delivery of high-quality FastSPICE solutions by contributing to technology evaluations, debugging customer-reported issues, and collaborating with cross-functional engineering teams to enhance product performance and usability.
Responsibilities
Collaborate with the FastSPICE R&D team to support new technology development and product enhancements.
Analyze and troubleshoot customer-reported issues involving transistor-level circuit simulations.
Validate and test new product features, methodologies, and improvements.
Assist in reproducing, debugging, and resolving technical issues in collaboration with development teams.
Develop and execute simulation test cases to evaluate product functionality and performance.
Document findings, recommendations, and resolutions for internal teams and customers.
Communicate technical information effectively to engineering teams and stakeholders.
Qualifications
Basic understanding of MOS transistor-level circuit design and semiconductor fundamentals.
Hands-on experience with SPICE and/or FastSPICE simulation tools through coursework, research, internships, or industry experience.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment.
Education & Experience
MS in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field with 0-2 years of relevant experience, OR
BS in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field with 2-4 years of relevant experience, OR
Preferred Qualifications
Familiarity with analog, mixed-signal, custom digital, or memory circuit design.
Exposure to EDA tools and simulation methodologies.
Experience with scripting languages such as Python, Perl, or Tcl.
Knowledge of semiconductor device physics and circuit verification concepts.
The annual salary range for California is $105,000 to $195,000. You may also be eligible to receive incentive compensation: bonus, equity, and benefits. Sales positions generally offer a competitive On Target Earnings (OTE) incentive compensation structure. Please note that the salary range is a guideline and compensation may vary based on factors such as qualifications, skill level, competencies and work location.
