Role Description The UI/UX Developer Intern at Quirky Home will support the design and development of user interfaces for the company’s digital platforms, including the online bedding store. This full-time remote role involves creating and refining wireframes and visual mockups, translating designs into interactive prototypes, and collaborating with developers to ensure pixel-perfect front-end implementation. The intern will assist in conducting user experience research, gathering feedback, and iterating on designs to improve usability, accessibility, and overall customer satisfaction. Day-to-day tasks include working closely with the product and marketing teams to maintain consistent branding, enhancing site navigation and product pages, and contributing to design documentation and guidelines.
Qualifications
Candidates should possess strong skills in Visual Design and Mockups to create clear, aesthetically pleasing UI layouts.
Candidates should possess skills in Prototyping and User Experience Design (UED) to build interactive flows and optimize user journeys.
Candidates should possess skills in Front-End Development to implement responsive, accessible interfaces using modern web technologies.
Familiarity with design tools (e.g., Figma, Sketch, Adobe XD) and basic knowledge of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript is beneficial.
Strong attention to detail, problem-solving abilities, and the capacity to work independently in a remote environment are required.
Enrollment in or completion of a degree in Design, Computer Science, Human–Computer Interaction, or a related field is preferred.
Interest in e-commerce, lifestyle, or luxury brands and a portfolio showcasing relevant UI/UX or front-end work will be an advantage.
