Technical Writer

Course content at a sixty-person ed-tech company keeps drifting out of sync with what teachers and students actually see on screen — help articles reference buttons that moved, onboarding guides skip a step the product team added last sprint, and support keeps fielding the same questions the docs were supposed to answer. The company, which sells to schools and colleges, has partnered with Flexiple to bring in a Technical Writer who can close that gap and keep it closed.
You will own the help centre, onboarding guides, and internal product documentation end to end — interviewing product managers and support leads, turning what they know into content a teacher or student can actually follow, and keeping everything current as the product changes. Most weeks that means writing new material; some weeks it means going back through old docs and fixing what's quietly gone stale.
This suits someone who can:
Write and edit clearly for a non-technical audience, 2 to 6 years in
Read a product update and know what documentation it breaks
Work independently with minimal hand-holding on a distributed team
Keep a consistent style across dozens of articles and guides
Manage a documentation backlog without losing track of what's urgent
