About Mommy First
Mommy First® is a US-based maternal wellness and postpartum recovery brand serving mothers across the USA, Canada, Europe and the GCC.
We create thoughtfully designed products and care solutions that support women through pregnancy, childbirth, postpartum recovery, C-section recovery and breastfeeding.
We are now building our India operations from Thiruvananthapuram through NeoMed ParenTech India Pvt Ltd, the Indian company behind Mommy First’s expansion in the country.
About the Role
As one of our early hires in India, the Supply Chain & Logistics Lead will play a hands-on role in building and managing the supply chain required to support Mommy First’s growth across India.
You will work across procurement, suppliers, imports, inventory, warehousing, logistics, fulfilment and distribution.
This is not a desk-only coordination role.
We are looking for someone who is comfortable following up with suppliers, checking inventory, resolving shipment problems, coordinating with warehouses and courier partners, reviewing quotations and ensuring operational issues are followed through until they are closed.
The role will work closely with the Operations Manager, management and other functions as Mommy First develops its India supply chain and distribution network.
Key Responsibilities
Supply Chain & Procurement
Coordinate day-to-day supply chain activities for Mommy First India.
Support sourcing and evaluation of suppliers, manufacturers and operational vendors.
Obtain, compare and maintain supplier quotations.
Support commercial negotiations relating to pricing, lead times, minimum order quantities and service terms.
Prepare and track purchase requirements and purchase orders.
Follow up with suppliers regarding production, dispatch and delivery timelines.
Maintain organized supplier records, quotations and related documentation.
Identify potential alternate suppliers where appropriate.
Monitor supplier performance and escalate recurring issues.
Support procurement planning as product volumes increase.
Inventory & Warehousing
Track inbound stock, stock receipts, inventory movements, dispatches, returns and damaged products.
Maintain accurate inventory records.
Coordinate periodic physical stock reconciliation.
Monitor stock levels and support reorder planning.
Identify potential stock-out or overstock risks early.
Coordinate with warehouses and 3PL partners.
Help establish inventory-control procedures and SOPs.
Investigate inventory discrepancies and follow through until resolved.
Maintain relevant stock and warehouse trackers.
Logistics & Fulfilment
Coordinate with freight forwarders, customs and clearing agents, transporters, warehouses and courier partners.
Track domestic and international inbound shipments.
Monitor order fulfilment and delivery performance.
Follow up on delayed shipments, failed deliveries, shortages, damaged consignments and pending claims.
Coordinate returns and reverse-logistics requirements.
Support hospital, distributor, retail and D2C order fulfilment.
Escalate recurring logistics problems and work with partners to implement corrective actions.
Identify opportunities to improve logistics efficiency and cost.
Imports & Vendor Coordination
Coordinate documentation and follow-up related to imported products where required.
Work with freight forwarders, customs brokers and clearing agents.
Maintain visibility into shipment milestones and expected delivery dates.
Help ensure supporting operational documentation is complete and organized.
Coordinate with suppliers and logistics partners to resolve delays or documentation issues.
Advanced customs or regulatory expertise is not required, but prior exposure to imports or international logistics will be an advantage.
Reporting & Business Systems
Maintain procurement, inventory, shipment and fulfilment trackers.
Support inventory and order management within Zoho or other business systems.
Maintain routine supply-chain dashboards and management reports.
Monitor vendor, fulfilment and logistics KPIs.
Provide early visibility to management regarding supply risks, delays or inventory concerns.
Maintain accurate operational records and documentation.
Help improve workflows and supply-chain processes as the India business grows.
Experience with Zoho Inventory, Zoho Books, Zoho One or other ERP/inventory systems will be an advantage.
Cross-Functional Coordination
Work closely with the Operations Manager on procurement planning, inventory requirements, operational priorities and vendor issues.
Coordinate with the Manager – Customer Experience & Brand Growth to ensure sufficient stock and fulfilment readiness for campaigns, events and product launches.
Support hospital, distributor and retail partner requirements.
Participate in supplier, warehouse, logistics and business-partner visits when required.
Support new product launches by ensuring supply, inventory and fulfilment readiness.
Candidate Profile
We are looking for someone with approximately 2–5 years of relevant experience in areas such as:
Supply chain, procurement, logistics, inventory, warehousing, distribution, e-commerce fulfilment, FMCG, D2C operations or a related environment.
The successful candidate should demonstrate:
Strong follow-up and execution skills
High personal accountability and ownership
Excellent attention to detail
Practical understanding of inventory and fulfilment
Confidence working directly with suppliers and operational vendors
Ability to manage several priorities simultaneously
Strong problem-solving skills
Ability to respond calmly to delays and operational disruptions
Good Excel and reporting skills
Confidence using ERP, inventory or business systems
Professional written and verbal communication skills
Willingness to personally visit suppliers, warehouses and logistics providers when required
Ability to independently follow operational issues through to resolution
Experience with procurement, logistics, inventory, warehousing, imports, 3PL, couriers, distribution, e-commerce operations or Zoho will be a strong advantage.
Prior healthcare experience is not required.
A specific university degree is not required.
Languages
Excellent Malayalam and English are required.
Hindi or another Indian language will be an advantage.
Location & Mobility
The position will be office-based in Thiruvananthapuram while we establish Mommy First’s India operations.
As the business, systems and workflows become established, the working arrangement may evolve depending on business requirements.
Applicants should have a valid driving license and reliable access to local transportation. Access to a two-wheeler will be an advantage.
Regular local travel and occasional travel within Kerala will be required.
Approved business travel expenses will be reimbursed.
Compensation & Benefits
₹3,00,000 – ₹4,50,000 per annum, depending on experience, demonstrated capability and fit for the role.
