Role Description The Mentor role at Vivahe is a full-time, on-site position based in Gurgaon. The Mentor will guide clients through the matchmaking journey, conducting in-depth consultations to understand their priorities, values, and relationship goals. Day-to-day responsibilities include advising clients on profile presentation, facilitating introductions, and offering structured feedback and perspective throughout the decision-making process. The Mentor will maintain regular communication with clients and families, manage expectations, and uphold high standards of confidentiality and discretion. Additional tasks include documenting interactions, collaborating with the internal team to refine matchmaking recommendations, and contributing to continuous improvement of client experience.
Qualifications
Strong interpersonal, counseling, and client advisory skills, with the ability to build trust and rapport across diverse age groups and family backgrounds.
Excellent communication skills, including clear spoken and written English; proficiency in additional Indian languages is an advantage.
Demonstrated aptitude for active listening, empathy, conflict resolution, and mature handling of sensitive personal and family dynamics.
Organizational and time-management skills, with experience managing multiple client engagements and maintaining accurate records.
Professional presence, discretion, and sound judgment when dealing with confidential information and high-stakes decisions.
Background in psychology, counseling, coaching, social work, family business advising, or a related field is preferred.
Comfort working on-site in Gurgaon and collaborating closely with a small, high-touch consultancy team.
Bachelor’s degree or higher in a relevant discipline, or equivalent professional experience in mentoring, coaching, or client advisory roles.
