Role Description The Design Engineer role is a full-time, on-site position based in Noida. The Design Engineer will be responsible for developing and detailing mechanical and electromechanical designs for industrial automation systems, including special-purpose machines, robotic solutions, and hydraulic equipment. Day-to-day tasks include creating and updating CAD models and drawings, collaborating with cross-functional teams to refine product requirements, and ensuring designs meet performance, safety, and manufacturability standards. The role involves reviewing and validating design concepts, supporting prototype development and testing, and providing technical documentation for production and commissioning. The Design Engineer will also assist in cost optimization, design improvements, and integration of sensor- and vision-based automation to align with BTA’s smart manufacturing solutions.
Qualifications
Strong foundation in Design Engineering with experience in developing concepts for industrial automation or machinery.
Background in Mechanical Engineering with knowledge of materials, manufacturing processes, and mechanical systems.
Proficiency in Computer-Aided Design (CAD) tools (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD, or similar) for 2D/3D modeling and drafting.
Understanding of Electrical Engineering principles relevant to automation systems, controls, and integrated electromechanical solutions.
Skills in Product Design, including ergonomics, functionality, reliability, and design for manufacturability.
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related engineering discipline.
Ability to interpret engineering drawings, standards, and specifications; familiarity with industrial safety norms is an advantage.
Effective communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work closely with production, quality, and automation teams.
Problem-solving mindset with attention to detail and willingness to learn new technologies in robotics, vision systems, and automation.
Prior experience in industrial automation, SPM
