Role Description The Azure Data Engineer will work full time on-site in Gurugram, designing, building, and maintaining data solutions on Microsoft Azure. Day-to-day responsibilities include developing and optimizing data pipelines, implementing ETL processes, and integrating data from multiple sources into centralized data stores. The role involves designing data models and data warehouses to support analytics, reporting, and business intelligence needs across the organization. The Azure Data Engineer will collaborate with product, engineering, and business teams to translate requirements into scalable data architectures, ensure data quality and security, and improve performance of existing solutions. The role may also include monitoring data workflows, troubleshooting issues, and contributing to best practices for data governance and documentation.
Qualifications
Strong skills in Data Engineering, including building and maintaining data pipelines and solutions on Azure.
Proficiency in Data Modeling and Data Warehousing to support reporting, analytics, and business intelligence.
Experience with Extract Transform Load (ETL) processes, including designing, implementing, and optimizing ETL workflows.
Capability in Data Analytics, with the ability to translate business questions into data requirements and insights.
Hands-on experience with Azure data services (e.g., Azure Data Factory, Azure SQL Database, Azure Synapse, Azure Databricks) or similar cloud data platforms.
Strong SQL skills and familiarity with at least one programming language commonly used in data engineering (such as Python or Scala).
Understanding of data governance, data security, and best practices for handling structured and unstructured data.
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams, communicate technical concepts clearly, and work independently in a fast-paced environment.
