Role Description The Materials Controller role is a full-time, on-site position located in Tiruchirappalli. The Materials Controller will oversee daily material handling activities, including receiving, inspecting, and issuing materials to project sites and internal departments. This role is responsible for maintaining accurate inventory records, monitoring stock levels, and coordinating material movements to ensure timely availability for ongoing operations and projects. The Materials Controller will collaborate closely with procurement, warehouse, and project teams to track material usage, manage storage conditions, and support compliance with safety and quality standards. The role also includes regular documentation updates, reporting discrepancies, and supporting continuous improvement in materials management processes.
Qualifications
Candidates should possess strong skills in Material Handling and Materials Management to ensure efficient movement and control of materials across sites.
Candidates should have experience in Inventory Management and handling various types of Materials, with a focus on accuracy and stock optimization.
Candidates should demonstrate capabilities in Procurement and coordination with suppliers to support timely material availability.
Relevant experience in construction, infrastructure, or oil and gas projects is highly beneficial.
Ability to use inventory and materials management software, along with solid MS Office skills.
Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to maintain clear documentation and reports.
Effective communication and teamwork skills to collaborate with cross-functional project and warehouse teams.
Diploma or bachelor’s degree in engineering, supply chain, logistics, or a related field is preferred.
