Role Description The Engineering Lead – AI Platform (Hands-on) is a full-time remote role responsible for leading the design, development, and operation of Finspectra’s AI platform that powers intelligent features across the Prizm Lending Suite™. In this role, the individual will architect and implement scalable AI and machine learning services, build data pipelines, and integrate models into production systems. The person will collaborate closely with product management, data science, and engineering teams to define technical roadmaps, refine requirements, and deliver high-quality, secure solutions. Day-to-day activities include hands-on coding, code reviews, performance optimization, and mentoring engineers while promoting best practices in MLOps, cloud-native development, and continuous delivery. The role also involves monitoring platform reliability, managing incidents, and ensuring compliance with security and regulatory standards relevant to financial services.
Qualifications
Strong software engineering skills, including proficiency in one or more modern programming languages (e.g., Python, Java, or Node.js) and experience with microservices and API development.
Experience with AI and machine learning platforms and tools, such as model training, deployment, monitoring, and MLOps practices.
Hands-on expertise with cloud infrastructure (e.g., AWS, Azure, or GCP), containerization (Docker), and orchestration (Kubernetes) for building scalable, resilient systems.
Solid background in data engineering, including designing data pipelines, working with relational and NoSQL databases, and ensuring data quality and governance.
Proven technical leadership capabilities, including leading engineering teams, conducting code reviews, setting standards, and mentoring team members.
Experience working with or integrating enterprise platforms (Salesforce® or similar) and understanding of SaaS product development in a regulated industry.
Knowledge of security, compliance, and reliability best practices relevant to fintech, including authentication, authorization, data protection, and auditability.
Strong problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a remote, cross-functional environment.
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
