Job Title: Technical Documentation & Tech Support Engineer

Optik Precision Instruments - a leading name in industrial cameras, lights, lenses, and accessories for the machine vision industry - is looking for an adaptable, detail-oriented technical professional to streamline our product documentation and evolve into a key technical support and sales-enablement specialist.
Role Overview
This is a high-growth role starting with a crucial internal foundation project: building a modern, organized system for our technical product documentation.
Once our product data architecture is established, your role will transition into direct customer support, technical troubleshooting, and working alongside our sales engineers to solve challenging vision application problems for clients.
Key Responsibilities
Phase 1 (Delhi NCR - Initial ~3 months)Technical Documentation & Data Management
Design, organize, and maintain a standardized system for generating technical data sheets, drawings, and user manuals for our cameras, lenses, and lighting products.
Work with internal engineering teams to translate complex hardware/software specifications into clear, professional customer-facing documentation.
Ensure consistent formatting, technical accuracy, and version control across all product literature.
Phase 2 (Option of Delhi NCR or Bengaluru - Full Time)Customer Support & Sales Assistance
Provide tier-1 and tier-2 technical support to customers' integration issues, hardware setups, and troubleshooting.
Assist the sales team by analyzing customer application requirements, recommending suitable camera/lens/light combinations, and preparing technical proposals.
Create customer-facing technical FAQs, application notes, and integration guides based on recurring client inquiries.
Qualifications & Requirements
Experience: 1 to 4 years of professional experience in an engineering, technical support, or technical writing role.
Education: BTech in ECE, CSE, EEE or related field is ideal. BSc candidates in related fields may be considered.
Communication: Exceptional written and verbal English communication skills. Advanced technical writing capability is non-negotiable.
Industry Background: Direct experience or strong familiarity with the Computer Vision, Machine Vision, Industrial Automation, or Optical/Photonics industries is highly preferred.
Technical Aptitude: Ability to read technical drawings, understand optical/sensor specifications (e.g., resolution, focal length, interfaces like GigE/USB3), and explain complex concepts simply.
Mindset: Proactive, self-organized, and eager to grow from a technical creation role into a customer-facing problem solver.
