Role Description This is a full-time, on-site role based in Hyderabad for a Commercial and Corporate Lawyer. The role involves drafting, reviewing, and negotiating commercial contracts and corporate documentation, including shareholder agreements, investment agreements, and business service contracts. The lawyer will provide clear, practical legal advice on corporate governance, regulatory compliance, data privacy, and general legal issues impacting clients’ businesses. Day-to-day responsibilities include conducting legal research, identifying risks, preparing legal opinions, and supporting transaction execution in M&A and private equity/VC deals. The role also includes collaborating with internal teams and clients, managing timelines and deliverables, and maintaining high professional and ethical standards in all client interactions.
Qualifications
Strong foundation in Law with a focus on corporate and commercial law, including familiarity with relevant statutes and regulations.
Ability to draft, review, and negotiate Commercial Contracts and corporate agreements with attention to detail and commercial awareness.
Experience identifying and managing Legal Issues, including risk assessment, regulatory compliance, and dispute prevention.
Proven capability to provide clear, business-oriented Legal Advice to clients and internal stakeholders.
Understanding of Data Privacy laws and practices, including implications for contracts, transactions, and client operations.
Bachelor’s degree in Law (LL.B); LL.M or specialized corporate/commercial law qualifications are an advantage.
Relevant experience in a law firm or corporate legal department handling corporate, commercial, or M&A matters.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, strong legal research abilities, and proficiency in drafting precise legal documents.
High level of integrity, professional judgment, client-service orientation, and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
