Texas Instruments is looking for a skilled Equipment Technician to join our team. In this role, you will perform preventative maintenance, equipment repairs, equipment improvements, equipment upgrades, and equipment installation. You will interface and communicate with engineering and manufacturing groups across the fab to ensure all issues are solved appropriately and efficiently.
Responsibilities include:
Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on turret equipment to ensure equipment reliability, availability, and optimal performance.
Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and motion-related issues on turret systems and identify root causes of repetitive equipment failures.
Monitor equipment performance, downtime, alarms, and maintenance data to identify trends and drive continuous improvement in equipment uptime and MTBF/MTTR.
Execute equipment recovery and repair activities to minimize downtime and restore tools to production within the required timeframe.
Perform equipment setup, calibration, adjustment, and component replacement while ensuring equipment meets process and operational requirements.
Work closely with engineering and manufacturing teams to resolve turret equipment-related issues and implement preventive actions to avoid recurring failures.
Support equipment improvement projects, upgrades, and modifications to enhance turret equipment reliability, performance, and maintainability.
Minimum requirements:
Minimum 3 to 5 years of experience as an equipment technician in a semiconductor manufacturing environment.
Exposure to turret/ test equipment will be an added advantage.
Diploma in electrical, electronic, mechanical, or any relevant fields.
Preferred qualifications:
Self-driven with ability to identify and resolve issues to improve equipment performance
Good troubleshooting skills on electrical/mechanical systems
Excellent organizational, teaming and troubleshooting skills
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Demonstrated strong analytical, critical thinking, and problem solving skills
Ability to work in teams and collaborate effectively with people in different functions
Ability to take the initiative and drive for results
Strong time management skills that enable on-time project delivery
Ability to work effectively in an interrupt-driven, fast-paced and rapidly changing environment
Demonstrated ability to build strong, influential relationship
