Company Description Kamal Oils & Foods is one of India’s leading manufacturing organizations in the field of specialty oils, with over three decades of industry experience since its founding in 1989 by Shri Damodar Das Ji Mundra. The company focuses on producing high-quality rice bran oil that supports the nutritional and health needs of families. Kamal’s operations are backed by ISO 22000:2005 certification, aligning with global food safety standards. A fully integrated plant of 600 TPD and a refinery of 150 TPD enable year-round production to meet diverse demand. The group has also expanded into flour milling with a state-of-the-art facility in collaboration with Bühler, having a capacity of 250 TPD.
Role Description The Senior Accountant role is a full-time, on-site position based in Rajnandgaon. This role is responsible for managing day-to-day accounting operations, including general ledger maintenance, accounts payable and receivable, bank reconciliations, and month-end and year-end closing activities. The Senior Accountant will prepare and review financial statements, monitor budgeting and cost control, and ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards, taxation regulations, and internal policies. Additional responsibilities include overseeing inventory accounting, supporting audits, improving financial processes, and providing management with accurate financial analysis and reports to aid decision-making.
Qualifications
Strong skills in financial accounting, general ledger management, and preparation of financial statements.
Experience in accounts payable/receivable, bank reconciliations, and cash flow management.
Knowledge of cost accounting, inventory accounting, and budgeting within a manufacturing environment.
Familiarity with Indian taxation, statutory compliance, and audit coordination.
Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Tally, ERP systems) and advanced MS Excel skills.
Excellent analytical abilities, attention to detail, and capability to interpret financial data.
Strong communication, collaboration, and stakeholder management skills.
Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced setting.
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Commerce; professional certifications (e.g., CA, CMA, or equivalent) are an advantage.
Prior experience in a manufacturing or food processing company in a senior accounting capacity is preferred.
