Role Description The Video Editor will work full time on-site at the Kolkata studio, collaborating with the creative team to edit and assemble video content for social media, YouTube, branded campaigns, and event coverage. Day-to-day tasks include organizing raw footage, selecting and trimming clips, adding transitions, graphics, and effects, and ensuring smooth narrative flow aligned with project briefs. The role involves color correction and basic color grading, syncing audio, and preparing final exports optimized for various digital platforms and formats. The Video Editor will also support motion graphics integration, maintain consistent visual standards across projects, and contribute creative ideas during pre-production and content planning.
Qualifications
Strong skills in Video Editing and Video Production, including handling raw footage, timelines, and exporting for multiple platforms.
Proficiency in Video Color Grading and Color Correction to maintain consistent, visually appealing output.
Experience with Motion Graphics and Graphics to create titles, lower thirds, overlays, and other visual elements.
Hands-on experience with industry-standard editing and graphics tools (e.g., Adobe Premiere Pro, After Effects, DaVinci Resolve, Photoshop, Illustrator, or equivalent).
Ability to interpret creative briefs, follow brand guidelines, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced production environment.
Strong attention to detail, visual storytelling ability, and willingness to receive and implement feedback.
Effective collaboration and communication skills for working with directors, designers, and clients.
Relevant education or training in film, media, animation, or a related field is preferred; a strong portfolio or showreel is required.
