Role Description The Human Resources Intern role at Proxima Skills Academy is a full-time remote position supporting the HR team in day-to-day operations. The intern will assist with HR documentation, maintaining employee records, and supporting the implementation of HR policies and procedures. They will help coordinate recruitment activities, including screening applications, scheduling interviews, and facilitating onboarding. The role includes supporting employee engagement initiatives, assisting with benefits-related queries, and contributing to personnel management and HR data reporting. The intern will collaborate with team members across functions, gaining exposure to HR best practices in a growing, mission-driven organization.
Qualifications
Foundational knowledge of Human Resources (HR) and HR Management, with an interest in developing a career in HR.
Understanding of HR Policies and Employee Benefits, and the ability to support policy communication and documentation.
Basic experience or coursework in Personnel Management, including employee lifecycle and HR record-keeping.
Strong written and verbal communication skills, with attention to detail and accuracy in documentation.
Ability to work independently in a remote environment, manage time effectively, and handle confidential information responsibly.
Proficiency in productivity tools (e.g., spreadsheets, word processing, and video conferencing platforms).
Current enrollment in or recent graduation from a program in Human Resources, Business Administration, Psychology, or a related field is preferred.
Interest in education, training, or talent development sectors is an advantage.
