Role Description The Guest Service Associate F&B is a full-time, on-site role based at Effotel Hotel by Sayaji in Sangli. In this position, the associate welcomes guests to F&B outlets, seats them, presents menus, and provides accurate information about food and beverage items. Daily responsibilities include taking and processing orders, coordinating with kitchen and bar teams, serving food and drinks, and ensuring tables are properly set, cleaned, and reset for service. The role involves handling guest queries and complaints professionally, managing reservations or table bookings, and supporting billing and payment procedures. The Guest Service Associate F&B also follows hygiene and safety standards, supports special events or banquets, and contributes to a positive, efficient team environment focused on excellent guest satisfaction.
Qualifications
Strong guest-facing skills, including Guest Services and Guest Service capabilities to ensure a welcoming and professional experience.
Proven Customer Service skills to handle inquiries, feedback, and issues with patience and courtesy.
Experience with Reservations or table bookings, including maintaining accurate records and coordinating with F&B and front office teams.
Effective Communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact clearly with guests and team members.
Prior experience in food and beverage service, restaurant, or hotel operations is preferred.
Knowledge of basic billing and POS systems, and comfort handling cash or card transactions.
Ability to stand for extended periods, work flexible hours, and perform duties during peak service times.
Formal hospitality education or training (diploma or degree) is an advantage but not mandatory.
