Job Requirements*
Network technician who supports Network infrastructure for retail customers across globe having 5 to 8+ years of experience in networking
Monitor network devices (routers, switches, firewalls, servers) using tools like SolarWinds Network Performance Monitor, Nagios, Zabbix, or PRTG Network Monitor
Detect, troubleshoot, and resolve network issues (latency, packet loss, downtime)
Configure alerts and notifications for system anomalies
Analyze logs and performance metrics to identify trends and potential issues
Ensure network uptime and service availability (24/7 monitoring in NOC environments)
Work with IT teams to resolve incidents and perform root cause analysis
Generate reports on network performance and incidents
Maintain documentation of network configurations and monitoring processes
Implement and maintain monitoring dashboards
Key Responsibilities*
Expertise in Network Monitoring tools
Knowledge of networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPNs)
Familiarity with monitoring protocols (SNMP, NetFlow, ICMP)
Experience with monitoring tools (mentioned above)
Basic understanding of:
Wireshark (packet analysis)
Splunk or similar log tools
Understanding of Linux/Windows systems
Scripting knowledge (Python, Bash) is a plus
