Designation: Infrastructure Automation Engineer
Role Overview
The Infrastructure Automation Engineer will design, implement, and operate enterprise‑grade automation solutions using VMware Aria Automation. The role focuses on end‑to‑end VM lifecycle automation, Day‑2 operations, and secure integration with core enterprise platforms, while ensuring compliance with regulatory and audit requirements.
Location: Mumbai/Navi Mumbai
Years of experience: 7 to 15 Years
Key Responsibilities
1. Infrastructure Automation & VMware
Design, develop, and operate automation solutions using VMware Aria Automation (vRealize Automation)
Automate end‑to‑end VM provisioning and Day‑2 operations (CPU, memory, disk, lifecycle tasks)
Develop reusable blueprints, workflows, and policies aligned to enterprise standards
Integrate Aria Automation with:
vSphere / VCF
Active Directory (AD)
DNS / IPAM
CMDB / ServiceNow
Security & patching tools (e.g., Nessus, Redhat Satellite, WSUS)
2. Infrastructure as Code (IaC) – Azure DevOps
Implement automation using Python, Terraform, Ansible, PowerCLI
Apply DevOps best practices:
Version control
CI/CD pipelines
Collaborate with Platform, OS, DB, Network, and Security teams for automation use cases
Ensure automation complies with security, compliance, and audit requirements
3. Troubleshooting & Operations
Strong troubleshooting and root‑cause analysis for automation issues.
Optimize workflows for reliability, performance, and scalability
Support production, UAT, and DR automation environments
4. Documentation & Governance
Create and maintain:
SOPs / Automation runbooks
Design documents
Provide audit evidence and documentation for internal and external audits
Communicate effectively with stakeholders, vendors, and cross‑functional teams
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree (Science preferred) or equivalent with relevant certifications
7+ years in Infrastructure Automation
Minimum 2 years of hands‑on experience with VMware Aria Automation
Key Skills
VMware Aria Automation / vRealize Automation
VMware vSphere
Python , PowerCLI, Terraform, Ansible
Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills
Enterprise documentation and stakeholder communication
Soft Skills
Strong communication and stakeholder management
Ability to work in large, regulated enterprise environments
Process‑driven mindset with focus on automation value
Strong team player with cross‑functional collaboration experience
Preferred / Good to Have
Experience in banking or regulated environments
Knowledge of Kubernetes / private cloud automation
