Role Overview
We are looking for an experienced GCP Data Architect to design, build, and optimize scalable cloud-based data platforms on Google Cloud Platform (GCP). The ideal candidate should have strong expertise in data architecture, cloud migration, data engineering, and analytics solutions.
Key Responsibilities
Design and implement enterprise-scale data architectures on GCP.
Develop scalable data pipelines and data lake/data warehouse solutions.
Architect and optimize solutions using BigQuery, Cloud Storage, Dataflow, Dataproc, Pub/Sub, and Composer.
Lead cloud migration and modernization initiatives.
Define data governance, security, and compliance best practices.
Collaborate with business stakeholders, data engineers, and analytics teams.
Optimize performance, scalability, and cost of cloud data platforms.
Provide technical leadership and architectural guidance.
Required Skills
9+ years of experience in Data Engineering/Data Architecture.
Strong hands-on experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
Expertise in:
BigQuery
Dataflow
Dataproc
Cloud Storage
Pub/Sub
Cloud Composer
IAM & GCP Security
Experience with ETL/ELT frameworks and large-scale data processing.
Strong SQL and Python skills.
Experience with data modeling, warehousing, and analytics platforms.
Good understanding of CI/CD and DevOps practices for cloud environments.
Preferred Skills
GCP Certifications (Professional Data Engineer / Cloud Architect).
Experience with Spark, Airflow, Kafka, or other modern data technologies.
Exposure to ML/AI workloads on GCP is an added advantage.
