Role Description The AI Audio Technician role is a part-time, remote position focused on supporting the creation, refinement, and delivery of broadcast-quality audio content using a combination of AI tools and traditional audio techniques. Day-to-day tasks may include configuring and monitoring audio equipment, managing microphone setups and signal flow, and ensuring clean sound capture for AI-driven dubbing workflows. The technician will collaborate with production teams to adjust levels, reduce noise, and optimize audio quality for localized content, as well as assist in integrating AI-generated voice tracks with existing sound elements. The role may also involve basic troubleshooting of audio and lighting setups, organizing project files, and following established quality standards and naming conventions.
Qualifications
Proficiency with audio equipment and sound systems, including basic setup, configuration, and troubleshooting.
Experience working with microphones and live sound environments, ensuring clear capture and minimal noise.
Strong understanding of sound quality, levels, and signal flow within digital audio workstations or similar tools.
Comfort working with AI-based audio or voice technologies, or willingness to learn new tools and workflows.
Attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and the ability to follow technical guidelines and naming conventions.
Ability to work independently in a remote setting, communicate clearly with distributed teams, and manage part-time schedules reliably.
Prior experience in audio engineering, post-production, broadcasting, or related fields is beneficial; relevant coursework or certification is an advantage.
