Role Description The Sales Engineer role at Degree Day Pvt. Ltd. is a full-time, on-site position based in Indore. The role involves identifying and engaging prospective clients, presenting HVAC solutions, and preparing technical and commercial proposals aligned with customer requirements. The Sales Engineer will collaborate with design and project teams to translate client needs into feasible solutions, provide pre- and post-sales technical support, and assist in system sizing and configuration. Daily responsibilities include conducting site visits, participating in client meetings, following up on leads, maintaining accurate sales documentation, and supporting tenders and bids. The role also requires building long-term customer relationships, addressing technical queries, and contributing to sales targets and market development activities in the region.
Qualifications
Strong foundational skills in Sales Engineering and Technical Support, with the ability to connect technical specifications to customer needs.
Proficiency in Sales and Customer Service to manage the entire sales cycle, nurture relationships, and ensure client satisfaction.
Effective Communication skills, including clear verbal and written communication for client interactions, proposals, and internal coordination.
Degree or diploma in Mechanical Engineering, HVAC, or a related technical field; prior experience in HVAC, air conditioning, or building services is highly beneficial.
Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications, perform basic load calculations, and work closely with design and project teams.
Comfort with on-site work, frequent client visits, and local travel within and around Indore; valid work authorization in India.
Strong problem-solving, negotiation, and time-management abilities, with a focus on ethical, non-discriminatory professional conduct.
