Role Description The Relationship Manager / Cluster Manager is responsible for developing and managing strong relationships with distributors, corporate clients, and key channel partners to drive business growth for Liberty General Insurance. This full-time, on-site role, and involves overseeing sales activities, achieving business targets, and ensuring high-quality customer service across assigned locations such as Panaji, Kolhapur, Nashik, Hubli, and Mangalore. Day-to-day tasks include prospecting and onboarding new partners, coordinating with internal teams for underwriting and claims support, monitoring portfolio performance, and executing local marketing and promotional initiatives. The role also includes regular reporting on sales metrics, market trends, and competitor activity, while ensuring compliance with regulatory guidelines and company policies. The Relationship Manager / Cluster Manager is expected to support training and development of partner sales teams and maintain a strong brand presence in the region.
Qualifications
Proven skills in relationship management, client servicing, and stakeholder coordination within financial services or insurance.
Experience in sales and business development, including achieving revenue targets and managing multiple distribution channels.
Strong communication, negotiation, and presentation abilities, with the capacity to influence and build trust with partners.
Solid understanding of general insurance products and market dynamics; prior exposure to health, motor, or commercial insurance is an advantage.
Ability to analyze business data, track performance metrics, and make informed decisions to improve portfolio quality.
Comfort working on-site, traveling within the assigned cluster, and collaborating with cross-functional internal teams.
Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, marketing, or a related field; a postgraduate qualification in management is preferred.
Demonstrated integrity, customer-centric mindset, and adherence to regulatory and company compliance standards.
