INTERNATIONAL STUDENT ADMISSIONS & VISA CONSULTANT Part-Time | iQuery International Learning Hub
Engagement: Part-Time Professional / ConsultantWorking Hours: 6 hours per day, 6 days per weekWork Schedule: Flexible, with agreed availability for students, parents and application deadlinesProfessional Fee: ₹3.5 – 5.5 lakhs/year, with scope for performance-linked incentives
About iQueryiQuery International Learning Hub supports students in making informed international education and career decisions. Our approach goes beyond simply securing university admission. We help students and families develop appropriate academic; career and international education strategies aligned with their longer-term goals.Role PurposeThe International Student Admissions & Visa Consultant will be responsible for counselling students and parents who are planning to pursue higher education overseas and coordinating the admission and visa process from initial counselling through enrolment.The role requires a combination of student counselling, international admissions knowledge, application management, financial-documentation understanding and visa-process expertise.The successful candidate should be confident in independently guiding students and families, while maintaining high standards of accuracy, professionalism, confidentiality and service.Key Responsibilities1. Student & Parent CounsellingCounsel students and parents regarding overseas education opportunities based on academic profile, career interests, budget and future aspirations.
Explain suitable countries, universities, courses, entry requirements and application timelines.
Help students understand the relationship between their chosen course, career objectives and long-term plans.
Provide realistic guidance on admission prospects, affordability and visa considerations.
Conduct follow-up counselling sessions and maintain effective communication with students and parents.
2. International Admissions CoordinationCoordinate the complete university application process from shortlisting through offer acceptance and enrolment.
Review student academic and personal profiles and identify appropriate institutions and programmes.
Check admission requirements, deadlines, documentation and application procedures.
Coordinate preparation and submission of applications to universities and other institutions.
Track application status, offers, conditions, deposits and enrolment milestones.
Liaise with universities, admissions offices and other relevant stakeholders when required.
3. Financial & Documentation GuidanceGuide students and parents regarding financial requirements associated with overseas study.
Explain tuition fees, living expenses, deposits, proof-of-funds requirements and other relevant financial documentation.
Review financial documents for completeness and consistency before submission.
Identify potential documentation gaps or concerns and advise students/parents on appropriate corrective action.
Maintain accurate application and documentation records.
4. Student Visa CoordinationGuide students through the visa application process and required documentation.
Coordinate preparation and submission of visa applications in accordance with current requirements.
Assist students in understanding financial, academic, personal and supporting-document requirements.
Review visa documentation for completeness, consistency and presentation.
Help students prepare for visa interviews or credibility/interview requirements where applicable.
Track visa applications and communicate updates, additional-document requests and outcomes.
Experience with student visa applications for Australia, New Zealand, Canada, the UK and/or USA will be a significant advantage.5. Statement of Purpose & Application DocumentsReview, suggest improvements to and edit Statements of Purpose (SOPs), personal statements, study plans and other student application documents.
Help students present their academic journey, achievements, career objectives and motivation authentically and effectively.
Ensure documents are clear, coherent, appropriately structured and aligned with the student's profile.
Support preparation of CVs, resumes, scholarship essays and other supporting documents where required.
6. Application Management & ReportingMaintain an organised database of prospective and active students.
Track each student's application, admission and visa milestones.
Ensure timely follow-up on pending actions and deadlines.
Provide regular status reports to iQuery management.
Maintain accurate records of communications, applications, offers, deposits and visa outcomes.
Escalate complex cases, compliance concerns or potential risks promptly.
Essential Qualifications & ExperienceThe candidate should have:Proven professional experience in overseas education counselling and international student admissions.
Demonstrable experience counselling students who intend to study overseas.
Strong understanding of international university admissions processes.
Good knowledge of student visa procedures and documentation.
Strong understanding of financial requirements and proof-of-funds processes for international students.
Excellent written and spoken English.
Strong ability to review and edit SOPs, personal statements and other application documents.
Excellent attention to detail and documentation skills.
Ability to independently manage multiple student applications and deadlines.
Strong interpersonal and counselling skills.
High level of integrity, confidentiality and professional judgement.
Desirable ExperiencePreference will be given to candidates with:Hands-on experience submitting student visa applications for Australia, New Zealand, Canada, the UK and/or USA.
Experience working with universities and institutions across multiple countries.
Experience with complex admission or visa cases.
Experience handling scholarship applications.
Knowledge of international education pathways and post-study opportunities.
Existing relationships with universities, education institutions or international education stakeholders.
