About this role:
Wells Fargo is seeking a Cash Management Operations Specialist is responsible for ensuring efficient cash management processes across APAC Entities. This role involves real-time monitoring of payment flows, funding requirements, Treasury reporting, and execution of nostro funding transfers. The specialist will act as the primary liaison between the APAC Operations and Treasury teams across all Wells Fargo APAC entities, providing accurate daily forecasts and monitoring account activities to identify funding requirements.
In this role, you will:
Monitor daily cash nostro accounts for settlement status and liquidity requirements, ensuring timely resolution.
Advise the MCT desk on outgoing currency requirements and daily funding positions.
Ensure end-of-day nostro balances remain within agreed thresholds; liaise with Ops teams and MCT on unsettled high-value payments and avoid both overdrafts and excess balances.
When actual balances deviate from projections, prompt investigation and corrective action are required to restore balances to appropriate levels.
Execute funding requests across nostros accounts to support timely settlement of underlying transactions.
Flatten excess funding positions as requested by MCT.
Prepare and deliver daily T+1 cash flow files to Treasury for relevant APAC entities.
Conduct proactive system checks to ensure accurate updates.
Partner with MCT and Network Management for new Nostro account creation requests via EFIA tool.
Act as a risk champion, adhering to the company’s risk management framework and promptly escalating incidents.
Support audits and reviews by Internal Audit, EBCE, IT&V, and other control teams.
Drive continuous process improvement and contribute to change initiatives/projects as required.
Oversee and manage day-to-day Cash Management Operations activities across APAC, ensuring all business-as-usual (BAU) processes are executed accurately, efficiently, and within established service level agreements.
Review and sign off operational checklists, control attestations, reconciliations, and key process outputs to ensure compliance with internal policies, regulatory requirements, and operational risk standards.
Represent APAC Cash Management Operations on regional and global projects, ensuring local business requirements, operational risks, and implementation considerations are appropriately assessed and addressed.
Collaborate with global Cash Management Operations teams to support cross-regional initiatives, knowledge sharing, capacity management, and best-practice adoption.
Support the manager in executing departmental objectives, workforce planning, governance deliverables, regulatory and audit engagements, risk management activities, and stakeholder communications.
Required Qualifications:
4+ years of Commercial Loan Servicing experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
Desired Qualifications:
Prior experience of at least 3-8 years in a cash management operations role within a financial institution.
Strong understanding of currency-specific cut-off times, interest implications, and other key characteristics that can impact funding and settlement activities. Strong communication skills, attention to detail, and ability to escalate incidents effectively.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and data collation skills.
Highly organized with strong time management and prioritization abilities.
Ability to manage multiple priorities and perform under pressure.
Proven collaboration skills with internal partners to resolve issues.
Good understanding of international business, including investment banking, lending, commercial banking products, and payments.
Self-motivated, flexible, and able to work effectively in a small team environment.
