Company Description Atmet is a software company dedicated to building practical digital tools that simplify daily work for businesses. The team focuses on intuitive applications that help e-commerce merchants and event organizers streamline operations through AI and automation. Current products include Tarahib, a platform for digital invitations and event management, and AtmetChat, a WhatsApp API and AI customer service solution for stores on Salla, Zid, and Shopify. Atmet aims to deliver accessible technology that enables users to run their operations smarter and faster, with a strong emphasis on usability and real-world impact.
I’m hiring a Junior Software Engineer to join my startup, ATMET, a Saudi-based startup based in Riyadh/Khobar.
It’s a full-time, fully remote role. I’m not looking for someone tied to a specific tech stack — I’m looking for a solid engineer who can figure things out, and learn quickly.
You’ll work on real products with real customers, across things like Next.js, FastAPI, PostgreSQL, APIs & webhooks, AI, Docker, Kubernetes, Terraform, and GitHub Actions/CI/CD. The goal is to expose you to real-world engineering practices and give you the opportunity to grow beyond just writing code.
Compensation: $500–800/month

Role Description The Junior Software Engineer will contribute to the design, implementation, and maintenance of backend services and web applications that power Atmet’s products. Day-to-day responsibilities include writing clean, efficient, and well-documented code, participating in code reviews, testing and debugging features, and supporting integrations with third-party platforms such as e-commerce and messaging systems. The role involves collaborating with senior engineers, product managers, and designers to refine requirements, improve performance, and enhance user experience. This is a full-time remote role, offering the opportunity to work with a distributed team and grow technical skills in a supportive environment.
Qualifications
Solid foundation in Computer Science concepts, including data structures, algorithms, and software engineering principles.
Practical experience or coursework in Software Development and Programming, with familiarity in at least one modern programming language (e.g., Python, JavaScript, Java, or similar).
Knowledge of Back-End Web Development, including APIs, databases, and server-side frameworks.
Understanding of Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) and ability to design modular, maintainable code.
Ability to read and write technical documentation, follow coding standards, and work with version control tools (e.g., Git).
Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and willingness to learn from feedback and mentorship.
Comfort working remotely, with reliable internet access and effective communication in distributed teams.
Relevant academic background (e.g., degree or ongoing studies in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field) or equivalent practical experience.
