About The Role
We are seeking a talented and motivated Frontend Developer specializing in WordPress to join our team in full-time capacity at our location in Viersen. This role is ideal for someone passionate about WordPress development, who enjoys working in an agile environment with flat hierarchies and creative freedom. As a key member of our development team, you will be responsible for maintaining existing client websites, developing new responsive WordPress templates, and ensuring the highest standards of technical and visual quality. You will work on projects of varying sizes, often collaborating within teams or independently, to deliver innovative and user-friendly websites that meet client specifications and industry best practices.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate should have a genuine passion for WordPress development and a dislike for generic, off-the-shelf templates. Proficiency in HTML, SCSS, JavaScript, and PHP is essential, along with a solid understanding of source code quality and custom development. Experience with Docker and Git is highly valued, as well as familiarity with Bootstrap and Symfony frameworks. Candidates should demonstrate strong teamwork skills, be goal-oriented, and possess the ability to manage multiple projects efficiently. First-hand experience in responsive design and technical quality assurance will set you apart, along with a proactive attitude and eagerness to learn and grow within our company.
Responsibilities
Maintain and support existing customer websites, including direct communication with clients when required.
Independently implement complete, responsive website designs as custom WordPress templates.
Ensure the technical and visual quality of websites through rigorous testing and quality assurance processes.
Collaborate with team members on medium to large-scale projects exceeding 500 hours, contributing your expertise to deliver high-quality solutions.
Stay updated with the latest web development trends and best practices to continuously improve our offerings.
Assist in troubleshooting and resolving website issues, ensuring optimal performance and security.
