Head of Artificial Intelligence

Role Description The Head of Artificial Intelligence at Sté HORTI DARAA will lead the design, development, and deployment of AI solutions to support the company’s strategic and operational objectives. This part-time, remote role involves defining the AI roadmap, selecting appropriate technologies, and overseeing end-to-end project execution. Day-to-day tasks include guiding data collection and preparation, developing and evaluating models, coordinating with cross-functional teams to integrate AI systems into existing workflows, and ensuring compliance with ethical and regulatory standards. The role also includes mentoring technical staff, documenting methodologies and results, and presenting insights and recommendations to leadership in a clear, actionable manner.
Qualifications
Strong foundation in Computer Science, including algorithms, data structures, and software engineering principles.
Proficiency in Data Science, including statistical analysis, model development, and data-driven decision-making.
Applied expertise in Pattern Recognition for building and optimizing classification, clustering, and anomaly detection systems.
Hands-on experience with Natural Language Processing (NLP) for text analysis, information extraction, and language-based interfaces.
Practical knowledge of Computer Vision for image and video processing, recognition, and automated inspection.
Experience leading AI or machine learning teams or projects, ideally in production environments.
Advanced programming skills in languages commonly used for AI (such as Python) and familiarity with major ML frameworks (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch, scikit-learn).
Ability to communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders and collaborate effectively across distributed teams.
Commitment to responsible AI practices, including data privacy, fairness, and transparency.
Graduate degree in a relevant field (e.g., Computer Science, Data Science, Electrical Engineering, Applied Mathematics) or equivalent practical experience.
