Role Description The Cambridge A-Level Law Tutor at WONK will deliver high-quality, syllabus-aligned instruction to A-Level Law students in an online classroom setting. This part-time role involves planning and conducting engaging lessons, explaining complex legal concepts, and guiding learners through case law, legal principles and exam-oriented topics.
The tutor will regularly assess student progress, provide detailed feedback, and design practice papers, assignments and revision materials tailored to individual learning needs. Responsibilities include maintaining updated knowledge of Cambridge A-Level Law curriculum requirements, collaborating with academic coordinators, and maintaining records of attendance, performance and communication with parents or guardians. The tutor is expected to create an inclusive, supportive learning environment that fosters critical thinking, analytical skills and academic confidence.
Qualifications
Strong subject-matter expertise in Law, with in-depth knowledge of the Cambridge A-Level Law syllabus and key legal concepts, principles and case law;
Demonstrated teaching and pedagogy skills, including lesson planning, classroom management, differentiated instruction and formative assessment;
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to explain complex ideas clearly, engage learners, and collaborate with parents and academic teams;
Proficiency in academic mentoring and exam preparation, including guidance on study strategies, past papers, time management and structured answer writing;
Comfort with basic educational technology and digital resources to support teaching, content sharing and tracking student progress;
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Law or a closely related discipline from a recognized institution; formal teacher training or certification is an advantage;
Prior experience teaching Cambridge A-Level Law or similar advanced-level law courses is mandatory;
Commitment to inclusive, gender-neutral and non-discriminatory teaching practices, with a focus on student safety and well-being.
