Role Description The Cambridge School Sr. Teacher (English, Mathematics, Science, Business, Psychology, Economics, French, PET) role is a full-time or Part-Time, on-site position based in Vellore, TN.
The Sr. Teacher is responsible for planning and delivering engaging lessons aligned with Cambridge International curriculum standards across their subject stream, ensuring clear learning objectives and outcomes.
Daily tasks include teaching classes, assessing student progress, providing constructive feedback, and maintaining accurate academic records.
The Sr. Teacher collaborates with colleagues to design interdisciplinary learning experiences, supports student mentoring and guidance, and participates in school events, professional development, and curriculum review activities.
The role also involves fostering a positive classroom environment, promoting global perspectives, and upholding the school’s values of safety, care, and academic excellence.
Qualifications
Candidates should possess strong Teaching and Education skills, with demonstrable experience in senior-level school teaching, preferably in Cambridge or international curricula.
Candidates should possess effective Lesson Planning and Training skills to design structured, outcomes-based lessons and support student skill development.
Candidates should possess excellent Communication skills to interact clearly with students, colleagues, and families, and to provide meaningful academic guidance.
Relevant undergraduate or postgraduate degree in Education or in the subject specialization; formal teacher training or certification (B.Ed or equivalent) is highly beneficial.
Experience teaching in Cambridge International or similar global curriculum, familiarity with assessment practices, and commitment to student-centered, inclusive pedagogy.
