Purpose of the role :
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Production Engineer to oversee and manage daily production activities. The role involves ensuring smooth operations, adherence to quality and safety standards, and driving continuous improvement initiatives on the shop floor.
What you will do :
Plan, organize, and supervise daily production activities for machines, conveyors, and SPMs.
Ensure adherence to production schedules, quality standards, and safety requirements.
Review engineering drawings, BOMs, and technical documents for accurate execution.
Coordinate with design, procurement, and quality teams to ensure smooth workflow.
Allocate manpower, assign tasks, and monitor performance of shop-floor teams.
Implement lean manufacturing practices and drive process improvements.
Troubleshoot production issues, identify root causes, and implement corrective actions.
Maintain accurate records of production output, downtime, and resource utilization.
Ensure compliance with ISO/quality standards and safety regulations.
Should demonstrate extensive expertise in sheet-metal operations.
Train, mentor, and develop technicians and junior engineers.
Preferred Qualification :
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field (Master’s preferred).
Technical Skills Required :
Familiarity with ISO standards, quality systems, and workplace safety.
Proficiency in MS Office, ERP, or production management software is an advantage.
Proven experience in production supervision or manufacturing operations.
Must possess strong experience in sheet-metal work.
Strong knowledge of lean manufacturing principles and process improvement.
