Data Engineer

Job Summary
We are looking for a motivated Junior Data Engineer with hands-on experience in Databricks and modern data engineering practices. The candidate will support the design, development, and maintenance of scalable data pipelines and data processing solutions to enable analytics and reporting needs.
Key Responsibilities
Develop, maintain, and optimize ETL/ELT data pipelines using Databricks.
Build and support data ingestion frameworks for structured and semi-structured data.
Work with large datasets using Apache Spark (PySpark).
Develop and maintain Delta Lake tables and data transformations.
Collaborate with business analysts, data scientists, and senior engineers to understand data requirements.
Perform data validation, data quality checks, and troubleshooting.
Support deployment and monitoring of data pipelines in production environments.
Participate in code reviews and contribute to best practices for data engineering.
Required Skills
1-3 years of experience in Data Engineering.
Hands-on experience with Databricks and PySpark.
Strong SQL skills with experience in data transformation and analysis.
Understanding of ETL/ELT concepts and data warehousing principles.
Experience working with cloud platforms such as Azure (preferred).
Knowledge of Delta Lake, Medallion Architecture (Bronze, Silver, Gold layers).
Familiarity with Git and CI/CD concepts.
Good problem-solving and analytical skills.
Preferred Skills
Exposure to Azure Data Factory (ADF).
Basic understanding of REST APIs and data integration.
Experience with workflow orchestration tools.
Knowledge of Agile/Scrum methodologies.
