Cloud Integration Engineer

Role Description This contract Cloud Integration Engineer role is based in Suriname in a hybrid arrangement, combining on-site work with the option for some work from home. The engineer will design, implement, and maintain cloud integration solutions that connect applications, services, and data across on-premises and cloud environments. Day-to-day responsibilities include developing integration workflows and APIs, configuring cloud services, troubleshooting integration issues, and optimizing system performance and reliability. The role involves collaborating with software development teams, systems engineers, and business stakeholders to understand requirements and translate them into secure, scalable technical solutions. The engineer will also contribute to documentation, best practices, and continuous improvement of integration architectures and processes.
Qualifications
Strong analytical skills and troubleshooting abilities to diagnose complex integration and performance issues.
Experience with software development and integration, including APIs, microservices, and cloud-native architectures.
Background in systems engineering, covering infrastructure, networking, security, and cloud platforms.
Proficiency with major cloud providers (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP) and common integration tools or middleware.
Knowledge of scripting or programming languages (e.g., Python, Java, JavaScript) for automation and custom integrations.
Experience with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices to support deployment and maintenance of integration solutions.
Effective communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work in hybrid teams and client-facing environments.
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or related field, or equivalent practical experience.
