Job Description: Assistant/Deputy/Manager – Legal
We are seeking a highly accomplished Assistant/Deputy/Manager – Legal with rich experience in litigation and non-litigation. You will act as the legal advisor, ensuring full regulatory compliance, mitigating legal risks, and managing corporate governance.
Key Responsibilities
Non-Litigation & drafting legal documents
Draft, review, and negotiate a wide range of agreements, including Distributor Agreements, OEM Agreements, Vendor, NDAs, service, partnership contracts etc.
Standardize agreements and contracts protecting company’s interest.
Review, negotiate and close all legal documents with various stakeholders.
Identify legal risks within commercial terms and propose practical mitigation strategies.
Maintain MIS of all non-litigation work
Handling all other legal work arising from the company or its affiliate’s day-to-day operations
Litigation Management
Oversee and manage active litigation, disputes, and arbitration proceedings.
Coordinate with external legal counsel, managing budgets, timelines, and strategy.
Represent the company's interests in legal proceedings and administrative hearings when necessary.
Co-ordination with police authorities, law enforcement agencies, and economic offense wings for filing FIRs, complaints, and managing criminal proceedings related to fraud or non-payment.
Maintain MIS of all litigations
Intellectual Property Rights (IPR) Management
Manage the registration, renewals of company’s IPR.
Monitor, identify, and take legal action against unauthorized use of the organization’s proprietary information.

Compliance & Governance
Administer and utilize regulatory compliance software and automated tracking tools (such as TeamLease RegTech, Avaya or similar platforms) to map, monitor, and report on the organization's statutory obligations.
Monitor and ensure compliance with all applicable local, national, and international regulations.
Co-ordination with various internal stakeholders to ensure total compliance adherence.
Required Qualifications
Education & Experience
Bachelor of Laws (LLB) degree from a recognized institution (LLM is an advantage).
5 to 8 years of post-qualification legal experience.
Prior experience in a mixed background of a reputed law firm and an in-house corporate legal department is preferred.
Skills & Competencies
Deep knowledge of corporate, commercial, employment, and intellectual property laws.
Superior drafting, negotiation, and analytical skills.
Ability to translate complex legal concepts into clear, actionable business advice.
High ethical standards with a strict commitment to confidentiality and integrity.
Strong leadership qualities to manage a small team and external partners.
