G2 are working with a Project Development firm to recruit a Freelance Senior Planning Engineer to support the development and execution of utility-scale BESS projects across Germany.
This position is Consultancy, where you will receive packages of hours to complete assignments.
Responsibilities:
• Develop and maintain detailed project schedules throughout the development, permitting, engineering, procurement, construction and commissioning phases of BESS projects.
• Coordinate project timelines with engineering, procurement, construction, grid connection and stakeholder teams.
• Monitor project progress against key milestones and identify potential schedule risks and delays.
• Perform critical path analysis and implement mitigation strategies to ensure project delivery targets are achieved.
• Prepare planning reports, look-ahead programmes and project updates for internal and external stakeholders.
Requirements:
• Bachelor's degree or higher in Engineering, Project Management or a related discipline.
• Minimum 3 years' experience in planning, scheduling or project controls within renewable energy, power generation, grid infrastructure or major construction projects.
• Previous experience working on utility-scale BESS, Solar PV, substations, transmission, distribution or grid connection projects.
• Strong understanding of project lifecycle management, risk analysis and programme reporting.
