Role Description The Travel Agency Specialist contract role is fully remote and focuses on supporting customers with their travel planning and booking needs. Day-to-day responsibilities include advising clients on travel options, arranging business and leisure travel, and coordinating guided tours and related services. The specialist will handle inquiries via digital channels, compare travel packages and deals, and ensure that customers receive accurate information and cost-effective options. The role also involves maintaining up-to-date knowledge of travel destinations, policies, and promotions, while delivering consistent, professional customer service and contributing to sales and revenue goals.
Qualifications
Demonstrated experience in travel agency operations, including itinerary planning and travel booking.
Knowledge of guided tours and destination offerings, with the ability to match travelers to appropriate tour experiences.
Strong customer service and communication skills, with a focus on responsiveness and problem-solving.
Sales skills related to travel packages, upgrades, and add-on services, including business travel arrangements.
Familiarity with online booking tools, GDS or similar systems, and basic digital literacy.
Attention to detail, reliability in remote work settings, and the ability to manage multiple client requests simultaneously.
Prior experience in the travel industry or hospitality is preferred; relevant certifications or training in travel services are a plus.
