Role Description This is a remote, contract role for a Mandarin + Malay <> English Interpreter providing Over-the-Phone (OPI) and Video Remote Interpretation (VRI) services. The interpreter will facilitate real-time communication between Mandarin, Malay, and English speakers in settings that may include customer support, business meetings, healthcare, and other professional contexts. Day-to-day tasks include accurately conveying messages between languages, maintaining neutrality and confidentiality, and adhering to professional interpreting standards. The role requires punctual attendance to scheduled sessions, clear and professional communication, and effective use of remote interpreting platforms and tools. Interpreters may also be asked to support quality assurance by reporting technical issues and following established procedures and guidelines.
Qualifications
Strong proficiency in Mandarin, Malay, and English, with the ability to interpret fluently and accurately in both directions.
What We Are Looking For:
Experience: Minimum 6 months- 3 years of professional interpretation experience
(this is a must, Also make sure you add your Interpretation Experience in your resume to be considered )
Specialization: Proven expertise in Medical or Legal sectors
Flexibility: Availability for OPI/VRI or scheduled appointments.
Professionalism: High level of listening, note-taking, and memory retention skills.
Technical Requirements and certificates:
Professional , HIPAA compliant Setup

At least 10Mbps upload speed and 20 Mbps download speed
