Position Summary
We are seeking a creative, organized, and highly adaptable Social Media Manager I to support PAC Collective’s social media presence across our brands and competition events.
This role is responsible for developing and publishing social content, maintaining content calendars, supporting day-to-day account management, and capturing the energy of PAC Collective events throughout the competition season. The ideal candidate has a strong eye for visual storytelling, understands what makes social content engaging, and can balance creative work with the organization and consistency required to manage multiple accounts.
This is a remote position with regular travel to PAC Collective competition sites during the January–May competition season.
ResponsibilitiesSocial Media & Content
Manage day-to-day social media content for assigned PAC Collective accounts.
Develop, write, schedule, and publish content across relevant social platforms.
Maintain content calendars aligned with competition schedules, promotions, announcements, and company priorities.
Create social-first content including Reels, Stories, graphics, photography, and short-form video.
Repurpose existing photography, video, and marketing materials into engaging social content.
Maintain consistent brand voice, visual identity, and messaging across assigned accounts.
Monitor comments, messages, mentions, and other audience interactions.
Stay current with platform features, trends, and content formats relevant to PAC audiences.
Collaborate with the broader marketing team to support company-wide campaigns and initiatives.
Competition & Event Coverage
Travel to assigned PAC Collective competition sites throughout the January–May competition season.
Capture engaging photo and video content that reflects the energy and experience of PAC competitions.
Provide real-time social coverage during competitions, including Stories and other timely content.
Identify opportunities to highlight dancers, performances, awards, and memorable competition moments.
Coordinate with on-site staff to ensure social content needs are met throughout each event.
Organize and maintain event content for use during and after the competition season.
Apply lessons learned from event coverage to improve future content and workflows.
Planning & Performance
Plan social content around PAC Collective’s annual competition and marketing calendar.
Coordinate content needs and deadlines with marketing, operations, and event teams.
Monitor basic social media performance and identify opportunities to improve content.
Contribute ideas to strengthen PAC Collective’s social presence and audience engagement.
Maintain organized content calendars, assets, and project information.
Manage multiple priorities and deadlines while maintaining accuracy and brand consistency.
Project-Based & As-Needed Support
Assist with marketing projects and campaigns outside of regular social media responsibilities.
Support the creation of graphics, promotional materials, presentations, and other marketing assets as needed.
Assist with special events, company initiatives, and other time-sensitive marketing projects.
Take on additional creative and administrative projects based on seasonal and departmental priorities.
QualificationsRequired
Strong understanding of social media platforms and content formats.
Excellent writing and copywriting skills.
Strong visual and creative instincts.
Highly organized with excellent attention to detail.
Ability to manage multiple accounts, projects, and deadlines.
Comfortable working independently in a remote environment.
Adaptable and able to work effectively in a fast-paced, event-driven environment.
Willingness to travel regularly to competition sites during January–May.
Proficiency with Google Workspace.
Preferred
Experience managing social media for a brand, organization, business, or agency.
Experience creating short-form video, particularly Reels.
Experience with Canva or other graphic design tools.
Experience with photography, videography, or mobile content creation.
Experience with social media scheduling and analytics platforms.
Experience in dance, performing arts, live events, entertainment, or a similar environment.
Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate is creative, highly organized, and comfortable moving between a laptop and a competition floor. They notice the moments worth capturing, understand how to turn them into engaging content, and can execute quickly without losing attention to detail.
They are proactive, dependable, comfortable traveling during the competition season, and excited to be part of the fast-paced environment of PAC Collective events. They can work independently while communicating effectively with the broader marketing and event teams.
