System Architect

Company Description Doom Industries is an Indian defense technology and manufacturing company focused on building affordable autonomous aerospace and multi-domain systems at scale.
Role Description We are looking for a Senior System Architect to design and build the core middleware and communication platform for advanced real-time simulation systems. You will architect distributed software, networking layers, hardware integration, and scalable communication frameworks. Experience with DDS is beneficial but not mandatory. The primary focus is strong systems engineering, middleware design, networking, and modern C++.
Key Responsibilities
• Design scalable distributed software architectures for real-time simulation platforms.
• Develop middleware connecting simulator components.
• Build networking layers using TCP/IP, UDP, WebSockets and IPC.
• Design publish/subscribe and event-driven communication systems.
• Develop distributed synchronization and low-latency messaging.
• Integrate hardware, simulators, displays, and instructor stations.
• Develop multithreaded and asynchronous software.
• Evaluate technologies such as DDS, shared memory, gRPC, and similar middleware where appropriate.
• Optimize reliability, scalability, and performance.
• Collaborate with simulation, firmware, hardware, and software teams.
